²⁶ Jesus responded to them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you— you are seeking Me not because you saw signs^[a], but because you ate of the loaves-of-bread and were filled-to-satisfaction. ²⁷ Do not be working for the food which is perishing, but for the food which is remaining to^[b] eternal life— which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father certified^[c] this One”.

²⁸ So they said to Him, “What may we be doing in order that we may be working the works of God?”
